Solar and Battery Services Across Nova Scotia
Residential and commercial solar, battery storage, and off-grid systems, all installed by our own licensed crew from permit to activation.
Five Ways We Help Nova Scotia Homes and Businesses Own Their Energy
Every OYO Energy project starts with the same question: what does this specific property and household actually need? That shapes which of our five core services fits, and often more than one applies together, like solar paired with battery backup on a rural property, or a commercial array combined with net metering strategy for a growing business.

Service Areas
We install across Halifax and Bedford, out through the South Shore and Annapolis Valley, and into Cape Breton. Not sure if your property falls inside our service area? The fastest way to find out is our short property survey.
Which Service Is Right for Your Property
Most homeowners start with residential solar and decide on battery storage separately once they see their real offset numbers. If your property sits on a rural feeder with frequent winter outages, particularly in Cape Breton or parts of the Annapolis Valley, we typically recommend evaluating solar plus battery together from the start rather than adding backup power as an afterthought.
Businesses with predictable daytime electricity loads, offices, retail spaces, and warehouses, are usually strong fits for commercial solar, particularly where the federal Clean Technology Investment Tax Credit applies. Farm and acreage properties often end up mixing categories entirely: a residential system on the house, a larger commercial-style array on a barn or outbuilding, and sometimes an off-grid setup for a separate structure with no practical grid connection.
If none of that maps cleanly to your situation, the fastest path is our property survey. We review your usage and property details and point you toward the service that actually fits, rather than the one that is easiest to sell.
